Friday Night Scrap

The first friday of every month I always have friends over to scrap.  It started with us all getting together and working on our own project.   Know that I sell CTMH it has changed into me planning a layout for everyone to make.  I really enjoy planning and making interactive layouts and teaching new, interesting techniques.  Here are a few of the layouts we have made recently.

True Fit Folio

I love this little album.  Now that I made one I think I might be making way more.  I love how cute it is and that it stands up so well.  It will be awesome filled with travel photos.  Now I just need to go somewhere (or perhaps give it to someone who has gone somewhere.)  Know I think will make some for the little ones of family and friends.  We shall see.  It will all depend on how much crafting time I get in now that I am back to work.

Bee's birthday Presents

Well my daughter had her 1st birthday just a few weeks ago now and I was so thrilled to get a few crafty presents to be hung in her room.  It took a little while but they are finally up and they look amazing.  Thank so much to the two crafty ladies that put so much work into each one of them.

New Art Philosophy Cricut Collection

I can't wait to get my hands on this new cartridge! I can't believe Close To MY Heart and Cricut are working together.  I have always wanted stamps to match what I can cut on the Cricut.  It comes bundled with three coordinating stamp sets and chipboard pieces. So excited!

Waterfall cards and more

So I have been busy getting ready for a class at my favorite scrapbook store as well as my monthly gathering with friends.  I am so excited for the projects I created for both of these.  Check out the pictures below.  For the layout I used the new stamp set that comes as the promo for national scrapbooking month.  I love this stamp set and think I will get tons of use out of it.  I also found a way to blur my daughters face so it the photos look a bit weird that is way.  I want to share my layouts but wonder what she will think 20 years from now with her face all over the internet so this was my compromise.

This layout was for the monthly sketch challenge at the scrapbook store.  I love that it forces me to make a layout a month and think outside what I might normally do.

Notice the right hand pictures are different because I used a flip flap.  I love these things and think I will use more of them in the future.

Studio J

So posting has not been as regular as I would like but I have been keeping up with my goals.  My layouts for the past couple weeks have been on Studio J.  I love how easy it is to use and the fact that I don't have to plan what size pictures to print in advance.  I watched some great you tube clips on it and found out how to double mat, add extra text boxes and all sorts of other fun stuff.  Now I can't wait for them to arrive.  Here are the jpg versions of a few of the pages.

Fun with Dreamweaver

I have been doing pretty well at keeping to my goals.  I still have not finished many of the pages that need final touches but I made a few cards last week and a couple more this week.  I love the two new dreamweaver stencils I got.  I think they make beutiful cards and it is pretty easy.  I also created a layout out of my new Close to My Heart paper.  It is going to be the layout for when I have friends over at the start of March. I like the journal block shape and think the love turned out great. Yay for Sure Cuts A Lot.

New Year New Goals

I have been thinking about what goals I would like to accomplish this year and feel that if I put them into writing they might actually get done.  I am well on my way to accomplishing my first goal, which was to create this blog in the first place.  My other goals for the year:

  • create at least one two page layout and card a week
  • finish all the pages in my albums that are currently unfinished (I alway seem to leave the journaling and never go back to it)
  • start making and posting my own SVG files
I think these are pretty reasonable.  I had wanted to do a page a day but with a little one at home  I think that would be far to ambitious and I want to set goals I know I can accomplish.  I have recently become addicted to checking out other peoples blogs for what they are creating and to get inspiration.  It will be nice to have a place where I can share all the fun things I create.
